Submission of music

File Formats

The tracks are presented on the etrax website in mp3, AIFF, ac3 and 5.1 AIFFs. If you supply us with 16 bit AIFF or WAV files via upload we can do the necessary conversions. 5.1 AIFFs should be 24 bit.

Edits

Some edited versions of the tracks are useful to producers. The edits we require are usually 60, 30, 15, 10 and 5 seconds (with the full track, of course, which need not be any longer than 2 minutes 30 seconds) plus a bed or underscore of about a minute. Please make sure edits are timed accurately, have no silence at the beginning and have a definite ending. The underscore is a loopable mix of the main track with no top lines or obvious features which would interfere with a voice-over. This need not have an intro or definite ending.

Files should not be compressed.

Styles/genres

If you would like to send mp3 clips by email of tracks you are thinking of submitting we can advise you on which would be most suitable for the library. Otherwise, we would be interested in any of the styles featured in the range of your showreel.

Delivery

You can send your files from the upload section of the site. Simply follow the instructions there. You can send up to 8 individual files per upload (upload cannot handle folders), to a maximum of 2GB. Please remember to send the track details form with your submission.
